The AP recently commissioned a study to analyze news consuption patterns of 18-34 year olds. No surprise, but the study found that participants were almost always in engaged in multiple activities when reading the news, and although they were interested in receiving high quality, detailed news, they instead felt bombarded by headlines and snippets.
The research presents detailed guidance on ways to deliver news stories that are more easily consumable for this audience.
